Hallowfall Environment

I worked on the Hallowfall environment from the World of Warcraft War Within expansion, and I served as zone point on the environment side until the final look of the zone was established. I worked closely with Gabe Gonzalez to create cohesive color palettes and asset kits using concepts created by him, the environment team, and me.

I was responsible for many terrain textures and detail doodads which included the teal plants, teal city moss, red moss, yellow-green moss, dirt, pebbles, and rocks tilesets. I created the cloudy fog sky, and cliff mist that's used throughout the expansion. Many assets exchanged hands this expansion so some of the assets I only made initial blockouts for, including some plants, the rock pillars and stalagmite and stalactite sets. I also created various plants, like the low bushes, the tall flower-trees (blockout by Kuko Cai), and rocks. The world builders and world artists did the terrain work, and placed the assets, and the buildings and man-made props were created by the prop and dungeon team.
